Wave off the competitors in the city centre then make your way down to join our cruise on Newcastle Quayside – the boarding point is located next to the Gateshead Millennium Bridge.

The cruise follows our Quay to Sea route – under the Gateshead Millennium Bridge which opens especially for the cruise before heading down river to disembark at Mill Dam, South Shields. From here you can make your way to meet competitors once they have completed the Great North Run.
